We had a fantastic line-up of work this year from across the AOP membership and they included; Carol Allen-Storey, Martin Brent, Othello De’Souza-Hartley, Jillian Edelstein, Tim Flach, Philip Haynes, Karyn Louise (RUBYLDN), Sandra Lousada, Sophie Mayanne, Simon Norfolk, Richard Pullar, Richard Seymour and Kristina Varaksina.

We talked with so many interested members of the public, students and photographers about our exhibition and the work of the AOP and were delighted with how well the exhibition was received. It was also wonderful to be able to meet with so many members, thank you to everyone who came along and stopped by to meet the team. You can now see the full selection of images below, along with some additional work by each participating photographer.

Alongside our exhibition the AOP was represented in two talks. A panel of f22 photographers moderated by Gabrielle Motola discussed the successes and issues facing Women in Photography at The Arts Club and our Business and Legal Adviser Nick Dunmur spoke about the potential impact to photography as we know it in a VIP talk in the Prix Pictet Lounge entitled ‘ Is Digital Art the new Photography?’
Both events were successful in promoting lively discussion and demonstrating the expertise and knowledge available within the AOP membership.

Further details on each talk listed below. Enjoy our Photo London 21 exhibited images.

Talks and Discussions

In addition to our exhibited works, the AOP will also be participating in additional talks and discussions;

AOP f22 - Arts Club, Members event

Photo London: Women In Photography

A panel comprised of AOP f22 members Wendy Carrig, Tabatha Fireman, Liz McBurney and moderated by Gabrielle Motola will discuss what it’s like being women working in the Photographic industry.

From highlighting successes within the f22 collective to reflecting on the recent surge in emerging female and non-binary photographer groups, the panel will consider what else can be done to achieve a gender-balanced future for our industry and how soon we will be able to recognise that change.

VIP Talk: Is Digital Art the New Photography? Special talk in the Prix Pictet Lounge, Photo London

Saturday 11 September 2021 4:00 - 5:00pm

How will this high-energy, high-profile technological market shift affect the fortunes, practice, and indeed onward interest in photography and its markets?

Nick Dunmur, Photographer and AOP Business and Legal Adviser will add his insights to this fascinating and contentious subject alongside fellow panel members;  Isabelle von Ribbentrop (Prix Pictet), Juliet Hacking and Jeffrey Boloten (both of Sotheby’s Institute).
