The AOP Awards are the leading celebration of photographic excellence for those working in the creative industries. Now in their 37th year, this year we launch a year-long celebration of those who create the images that inspire us all.
Widely regarded as the ‘Oscars’ of the photography world, the AOP Photography Awards launched this autumn. We will also shortly be launching our prestigious AOP Emerging Talent Open Project.
Earlier this year, on the 14 April, we launched the AOP Student Awards 2021. We wanted to make the event extra-special for students who have seen their studies sadly affected by the pandemic. The AOP Student Awards are open to all those studying at further education level and higher.
Also in April we launched the very first AOP Open Project, which saw the Open Category of the AOP Awards morph into an amazing year-long programme of creative briefs and projects set by some of the leading individuals, brands, organisations and groups in the industry, for everyone to enter. Our first Open Project was a special partnership with Leica.
Look out for updates on Icons of the image-making world, coming up in spring 2022, with a very exciting new celebration.
The Association of Photographers is a membership organisation dedicated to promoting, protecting and educating photographers of all levels – from those starting out, to experienced professionals, and everyone in between.
