Exhibition 1 – 31 March 2022
Welcome to our first Spotlight exhibition of 2022.
In recognition of International Women’s Day 2022, we are hosting an f22 inspired Spotlight on the theme of ‘Woman’.
Featuring the work of f22 Accredited Photographer members, this exceptional selection has been curated by the f22 Working Group. Over 160 images were submitted and in addition to hosting the gallery online we will also feature a series of related articles throughout March, telling you more about the photographs and the female photographers who took them. The gallery will officially go live on 1 March 2022.
The 27 photographs that make up this exhibition each present different perspectives on the theme. What might have seemed a simple topic at first quickly reveals itself to be far more complex. For the most part, the women we are looking at are looking right back at us, and where we might in the past have considered the female form as something apart, here we are drawn into considerations of age, identity and experience.
From powerful portraits to commercial and documentary work, the photographs included in this exhibition showcase the exceptional talent and range of our female Accredited AOP members. Professional photographers who are adept at forging connections and telling stories, either though commissions or their own personal work.
As we review the images in further articles throughout the month you will have the opportunity to read supporting text and learn more about the projects they may have been taken from, as well as the individual photographers themselves.
By showcasing the work of these representative female Accredited Photographers, we are supporting f22aop’s goal to raise the visibility of female photographers in recognition of the inequality within the photographic industry.
Stay tuned for more f22 initiatives throughout the month.

For now we are left to thank the members of the F22 Working Group for their Call Out and for curating the submissions and the following photographers for participating.
The next Spotlight theme will be – Unity.
